No one likes the self-obsessed bore. But so many businesses take exactly that approach with their content. It’s not all about you, you know.

The best kind of content is useful. Or interesting. Or helpful. It understands your audience and gives them what they want. It doesn’t moan on about how wonderful it is. Or try to hard sell you a watering can when you don’t even have a garden. 

Effective content is relevant and shows, without telling, just how great you are as a business. It builds your business, gives customers confidence and breathes life into your brand.

It stops you from being ‘noise’ and turns you into the equivalent of a cool new friend; someone your audience actually enjoys spending time with. 

Content is king.

We may be living in the age of content overwhelm but it still matters. In fact, content is still one of the absolute best ways to engage your audience and to upsell your services. It has the potential to go viral and gives your company the opportunity to be seen as an authority in your field.

The most important thing by far, is knowing exactly who you’re writing for, and what it is that will make them stop scrolling and start engaging.

And guaranteed, it’s never the dull stuff. Be all about your audience. Give them what they want and for God’s sake don’t be one of those businesses that only talks about itself. It’s narcissistic, and a massive turn off.
